[L]amont Pridmore, one of Cumbria’s leading accountancy firms, has announced that it has been named as the Best Business to Work For in the North West at the National Family Business Awards for a third time.
Organised by one of the UK’s largest networks of family-run companies, Family Business Place, the awards held recently at Wembley Stadium recognised the country’s bests multi-generational companies.
The award-winning firm has previously picked up a number of awards at the event – previously known as the Red Ribbon awards – so it was delighted to learn that the judges had selected it for the Best Business to Work For once again, after it won the award in 2015 and 2017.
As well as winning this award, the team also took home the Big Heart category at this year’s ceremony – an award it also won in 2015.
The awards were attended by some of the UK’s most exciting and successful family-owned businesses and gave Lamont Pridmore the chance to meet with peers and discuss the strengths of their unique business model.
The National Family Business Awards regularly sees thousands of entries a year, ranging from Scottish food business through to plumbing firms in London.
Speaking about the firm’s latest wins at the prestigious national awards Graham Lamont, Chief Executive at Lamont Pridmore, said: “We are so excited to once again be coming home to the North West having won so many awards.
“We are very proud of being a family-run firm, so it was nice to be able to meet so many other companies that have multiple generations within their business. The success of so many companies demonstrates the benefits of a company being family-owned.
Lamont Pridmore has a long association with family businesses and has won several awards for its work with companies across the UK that are managed by the same family for generations.
Chris Lamont, Partner at Lamont Pridmore, said: “Family businesses continue to have a vital role in the UK economy and we know only too well the strengths and disadvantages of keeping a company within one family.
“However, our unique perspective as a family-run firm of accountants means we are able to understand the issues other family businesses face and offer bespoke advice. Our latest win at these awards helps us to reaffirm our position as one of the UK’s top family practices.”
