[P]erforming as part of the theatre’s Club Messel series, renowned Northumberland-based folk duo Landermason play at Rosehill on Friday 17th August at 8pm.
Featuring the talents of multi-instrumentalist Fiona Lander (vocals, piano, clarinet, whistles, saxophones and recorder) and guitarist/singer/ukulele player Paul Mason, the duo’s live sound is impressive, full of variety and with plenty of audience interaction with a folky/jazz mix of traditional and contemporary music.
Their recording of Dance to Your Daddy was used for an episode of the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow and their track Somalia was used in the BBC3 documentary Escape from the World’s Most Dangerous Place.
Taking place in the intimate surroundings of Messels Bar, there is also a pre-concert ‘Food in the Foyer’ supper on offer at 6pm.
