Firefighters tackling Watermillock oak tree fire

At 6:36am today, Friday 10 August firefighters were called to Watermillock, Penrith, to a tree fire.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire is in a large oak tree and crews are using a hose reel jet, a main jet, a light portable pump, a triple extension ladder and a thermal imaging camera to fight the fire.

“The incident is ongoing.”
