Police appeal after car goes the wrong way down Distington Bypass

[P]olice are appealing for witnesses to an instance of dangerous driving.

At approximately 1.10pm today (20 Aug), police received calls about a vehicle described as a small grey hatchback which was being driven the wrong way (northbound; from Whitehaven towards Workington) on the southbound carriageway of the A595, Distington Bypass.

Police are requesting that any witnesses to this incident who have not already made contact with them call 101 quoting incident number 92 of today and ask to speak to PC 2379 NEEN.

Police are also requesting that anyone with dashcam footage which may have captured this driving or a similar vehicle in this location around the time to also contact them.
