[P]olice are appealing for the public’s help to find a missing Darlington man who may be in Cumbria or Dumfries.
Durham Constabulary are asking locals in these areas to keep a look out for David Rutherford, 63, as concerns for his welfare grow.
He was last seen leaving his home in the Minors Crescent area of Darlington at 10.30am on August 19, driving a red Mazda 3 with the registration plate FL55 0ZD.
Police Search Advisor, Andy Reeves, said: “We are increasingly concerned for David’s welfare. He needs daily medication for health issues and his family, who he has not been in touch with, are very worried about him.
“His car has been seen in Cumbria and the last sighting was in Dumfries, and so we believe he may have travelled to these places.”
He is described as being 5ft 6, slim with mousy brown hair and is wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt with a design on the front, a black leather jacket with a hood, white Adidas trainers and glasses.
If you have seen David or have any information please call Durham Constabulary on 101 quoting reference 80 of yesterday’s date.
