Police appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Carlisle

[C]umbria Police were called at 10.50pm last night (22 Aug) to a report of a woman in her 40s having been the victim of a sexual assault.

The incident took place in the Collier Lane area of Carlisle.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Officers are looking to trace a man in the area at the time who is described as white, of slim build and was wearing a grey t-shirt and jeans. He had dark hair and may have spoken with a Scottish accent.

“Officers are urging anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed anything suspicious or anyone who has any information which may assist to come forward referencing incident number 235 of 22 August 2018. Officers would also urge the man described to make contact.”
