Carlisle man arrested after English Street incident

Police were called at 2:54pm today (25th August), to the report of a public order offence on English Street, Carlisle.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Officers attended and a 30-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion racially aggravated common assault.

“The victim, a man in his 20’s from out of the county, was uninjured during the incident.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact police on 101 quoting log number 136 of the 25th August, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
