Firefighters tackle Longtown farm blaze

[A]t 4:46am today, Sunday 26 August firefighters along with the aerial appliance were called to a fire at an address on Park End Road in Longtown.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used one hose reel to put out the fire and the aerial appliance helped firefighters to strip tiles off the roof before dampening down the area.

“Crews were in attendance for two and a half hours.”
