Police appeal to trace witness after Carlisle sex assault

Police want to speak to this woman

Police in Carlisle have released CCTV footage of a woman they would like to speak to as a potential witness in an ongoing sexual assault investigation.

The incident occurred on Sunday 5th August 2018.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police believe that the woman shown in the photograph may be able to provide useful information having left the area of Walkabout at around at 3:40am and turned left towards London Road.

“A 28-year-old man from Carlisle, has since been arrested.”
