Police probe Whitehaven car fire

At 1:36am today, Friday 31 August firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on Loweswater Avenue in Whitehaven.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used two hose reels to put out the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately and were at the scene for around 45 minutes.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101.
