Boy, 12, arrested after Barrow park stabbing

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after a teenager was injured in a Barrow park.

The incident occurred at approx 9pm on Sunday 2 September at Barrow Park.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 15-year-old boy from Barrow was attacked with a Stanley Knife sustaining a slash wound to his stomach and a cut to his chest.

“A 12-year-old boy also from Barrow has been arrested on suspicion of assault, ABH and possession of an offensive weapon.”
