Man accused of Tebay burglaries and theft of quad bikes stand trial

Carlisle Crown Court

A MAN accused of stealing three quad bikes after burgling properties in the Tebay area is due to stand trial later this year.

Joshua Aaron Faley, 23, faced two separate charges when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court for a short hearing earlier today (MON).

Both allege that Faley was responsible for the burglaries of farm buildings in the Greenholme area on February 9 last year.

He is accused of stealing a single quad bike from one premises, and two machines from another.

Each of the quad bikes is said by the prosecution to have a value of several thousand pounds.

Faley pleaded not guilty to both charges.

As a result, a trial – estimated to last around a day, is due to start at the crown court in the week of November 12.

In the meantime Faley, of Jordan Crescent, Meadowbank, Rotherham, was granted bail by Judge James Adkin.
