Firefighters tackle Carlisle house fire

At 9:29am today, Monday 17 September fire engines from Carlisle East and Carlisle West were mobilised to a property fire on Holmes Avenue, Carlisle.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The property was well alight on arrival and crews used two breathing apparatus, thermal imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately fifty minutes.”
