Police are appealing for witnesses in regards to two burglaries that occurred between the 23rd August and 4th Sept in the area of Glenridding Drive, Barrow.
During one of the incidents a man approached the property stating he had delivered a letter to the wrong address and then entered the property to retrieve it in which then property was stolen.
The man is described as white, 5ft 7ins, of medium build with short brown hair. He was wearing a short, white-coloured shirt, dark trousers and was carrying envelopes.
Police are appealing for witnesses in regards to these burglaries but would also like to warn the community to remain vigilant when answering the door to cold callers. If persons report to be from utility companies or public services please ask to see identification or contact the company direct to see if they have sent a person to your door.
