Person rescued from Carlisle house fire

At 1:57am today, Saturday 22 September fire engines from Carlisle East, Carlisle West and Longtown were mobilised to a persons reported fire on Raven Nook, Carlisle.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters rescued one person from the property.

“Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were detained for approximately one hour.”
