Police investigating after girl approached by man in Allonby

Cumbria Police is investigating a suspicious incident in Allonby which occurred on Thursday (27th Sept).

The report being investigated relates to a 10-year-old girl having been approached by an unknown male at approximately 5.30pm yesterday (27th September) on Main Street.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The male made off after a short struggle and the child was uninjured.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident at this time.

“Police can reassure local residents that a number of enquiries are being conducted to determine what has occurred.”
