Firefighters tackle Frizington house blaze

At 1:12pm today, Wednesday 3 October one fire engine from Workington and one from Frizington attended a building fire on Mill Street, Frizington.

On arrival crews found the ground floor of a three-storey house well alight

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to bring the fire under control.

“Crews were in attendance for 60 minutes.”
