A CARLISLE man accused of a heroin supply crime will stand trial before a jury later this year.
Michael John Kenney, 54, faced one allegation when he appeared at the city’s crown court earlier this afternoon (FRI).
Kenney pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleges that he was in possession of the class A drug heroin, with intent to supply it to another.
The allegation arises out of an incident in Carlisle during April this year.
A trial is now due to take place at the crown court in the week of November 12.
It is estimated this will last less than a day.
In the meantime, Kenney, of Raven Nook, Carlisle, was granted conditional bail by Judge James Adkin.
