Workington’s Dunmail Park is inviting the local community to a scarily good Monster Mash on Saturday 27th October.
Between 11am and 3pm, visitors to the shopping centre will be able to get up close to some real creepy crawlies, including giant millipedes, scorpions, cockroaches, giant land snails, snakes and lizards, with an interactive workshop.
Children over the age of four can make their own gooey stuff with a slime workshop*, and the under fours can create monsters out of Play-Doh, and take them home.
There will also be a ghost hunt around the shopping centre where visitors can pick up an entry form and search for the hidden ghosts for the chance to win a sweet treat, as well as a craft table where children can make hats and masks, and wrap each other up like a mummy.
In addition, CFM will be playing music and hosting fun and games, including a zombie dance competition.
Mr Donald Dixon, Managing Director of J Dixon & Son Ltd, owners of Dunmail Park, commented:
“Halloween is always a fun time of year and we look forward to seeing the local community at our Monster Mash party; children are encouraged to come in their spookiest costumes. The free entertainment provides a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy a variety of activities at the end of the school half term.”
*The slime will be made from a safe slime recipe.
