Army medals stolen in Wigton burglary

Police are investigating a burglary at Wigton, during which Army medals were stolen.

Other items were also taken from Standingstone Heights – but the medals have particular sentimental value.

The burglary was reported just before 12.30am on October 1.

Other items taken include two iPads, a laptop computer and a projector with speakers.

Officers are now urging anyone who knows anything to come forward in a bid to get the medals back.

A police spokesman said: “If anyone has seen these medals or comes across them, they are urged to contact police so we can reunite them with the owner.”

Anyone with information is asked to call PC 2611 Andrew Philip on 101, referencing log three of October 1.
