Woman walking dog attacked at Penrith Beacon

Cumbria Police received a report on Monday morning (15 Oct) that a woman walking her dog had been assaulted by a man walking a dog at The Beacon.

The incident took place at around 8.15am.

The two dogs had come together and the owners attempted to separate them.

It was reported that the man has then assaulted the woman.

The assault is under investigation.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Whilst the woman and the dog were not injured in this incident this is obviously a concerning report and officers would urge anyone else who was in the area at the time of the incident to get in touch.”
