Police name man killed in Carlisle collision

Police have confirmed the name of a man who died following a collision on London Road in Carlisle yesterday (18 Oct).

He has been formally identified as Leslie Todd, 90, from Carlisle.

Mr Todd was driving a Nissan Micra which was involved in a collision with a Mercedes van.

The passenger of the Mercedes van was treated at the scene and the driver was taken by ambulance to Cumberland Infirmary having suffered what are believed to be minor injuries.

Both are from the West Cumbria area.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information which could assist is urged to contact police referencing incident 117 of today.
