Wigton man killed in A66 crash

Cumbria Police have confirmed that a man in his 20s from Wigton died in yesterday’s collision on the A66 at Stainburn.

Cumbria Police were at around 7.20am on Monday (22 Oct).

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The deceased was the driver of a Ford Focus involved in a collision with an HGV.”

The road reopened at around 1.15pm yesterday.
