One of Cumbria’s leading firms of accountants, Lamont Pridmore, has been announced as the latest sponsor for Crooklands Casuals Under 11’s.
The team, which plays in the Under 12’s league of the Barrow and District Junior Football League, have welcomed the support of the local firm, who want to support grassroot sport in the area.
Thanks to the firm’s close association with the club, through Karl Burrell, Managing Director of Lamont Pridmore’s operations in South Cumbria, who also acts as a coach alongside Jonathon Lowes at the club, it hopes its funding will go towards helping local children develop their football skills in a safe and friendly environment.
Speaking about the new sponsorship deal, Karl said: “We are really delighted to be backing Crooklands Casuals as a firm and I am very proud as a coach to be announcing this new partnership.
“Football plays such an important role in the lives of these young people and helps them to learn new skills and gain confidence in themselves, which may one day prove useful in the world of work.
“Grassroots football has played an influential role in my own life and I hope that thanks to this new arrangement more children can benefit.”
Graham Lamont, Chief Executive at Lamont Pridmore, added: “We have a long association with local schools and sports clubs and I am proud to be adding Crooklands Casuals Under 11’s to the long list of clubs we support.
“I hope the funding we have provided will give them impetus they need to perform well in all their games this season.”
