Police name man killed in A74(M) crash

Police Scotland has named a man who was killed in a road traffic collision on the A74(M) near to Kirkpatrick Fleming, Dumfries and Galloway, on Wednesday 24 October 2018, as 54-year-old Mohammad Asghar from Glenfield Close in Blackburn, Lancashire.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Mr Asghar was killed when his BMW car left the road and struck a tree.

“The Procurator Fiscal has been informed.

“Police Scotland is still appealing for any witnesses who may have witnessed this crash, or who may have been driving on the southbound carriageway of that road prior to 10.10pm that evening.”
