At 12:09pm yesterday, Friday 26 October two fire engines from Penrith attended a fire involving a building along the B6413 at Kirkoswald.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters treated one casualty for smoke inhalation with oxygen therapy.
“Firefighters used two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
“Crews were in attendance for two hours.”
