A66 reopen after six-vehicle pile-up

The A66 has reopened after a six-vehicle road traffic collision occurred between Cockermouth and Little Clifton.

Police were called at 5:52am.

The A66 was closed in both directions.

This morning the A66 was also closed at Brougham near Penrith following a collision at 3:34am, the road has reopened however one lane westbound remains closed.
