Three people have been arrested after a man was attacked in Carlisle.
Police were called to Wigton Road at 7.45am today following a report that a man had been assaulted.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The injured man, 20, had been wounded during the attack and was taken to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary with non-life threatening injuries.
“Three people, a man, 46 and two women, aged 43 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of affray.
“Inquiries have involved police attending an address in Partridge Place. They are continuing this afternoon.”
