Police are investigating a burglary at Carlisle Enterprise Centre on James Street, Carlisle on 12th October at around 11am.
An unknown man has entered the premises with the intention to steal but has been spooked by staff members and left.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The man is described as black, early 20s, 5ft 7ins in height, wearing a black puffer jacket, black baseball cap and dark bottoms carrying a rucksack.”
If anyone witnesses anyone suspicious in the area please can they contact police on quoting log 158 of 12th October 2018.
Police are investigating the burglary of two building sites on the night of Thursday 1st November between the hours of 10pm and 1am.
One of the sites is situated on Brampton Road, Longtown where machinery has been moved and a storage container broken into.
The second site is situated on Windsor Way, Carlisle where a site office has been broken into and several storage containers, with around £4000 worth of plant equipment stolen.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The two incidents are believed to be linked.
“We ask that anyone with information relating to these incidents should come forward, specifically around any suspicious persons or vehicles in these areas before and after this time. Any information identifying the vehicle/s used and the perpetrators of these crimes will be invaluable.
“Those on building sites at this time should take extra care in ensuring that they are secure and extra security measures are advised.”

Police are investigating an attempted burglary at Violet White salon, Fisher Street, Carlisle.
An unknown suspect(s) have tried to force entry via the front door, between 3pm on 3rd November and 8:30am on 6th November.
