Man charged after Barrow robbery

Duttons, Schneider Road

Cumbria Police have this morning charged a man with robbery and possession of a bladed article following an incident at Duttons on Schneider Road, Barrow yesterday (7 Nov).

Cumbria Police were called to a report of a robbery at the store at around 2.25pm.

Officers attended and made an arrest at around 2.30pm.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Anthony Edwards, 43, of Broad Close, Barrow has this morning been charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article.

“He is due to appear at Barrow Magistrates’ Court today (8 Nov).”

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact police referencing incident 125 of 7 November 2018.
