Officers and PCSOs will be visiting rural areas of Carlisle as a part of a community engagement initiative.
On Thursday 15th and Friday 16th November, a mobile police pod will be spending time in a number of locations so members of those communities can meet their local policing team.
On Thursday 15th, the mobile pod will be in:
- Hallbankgate 9.30am – 10.30am.
- Wetheral 11am – 12.30pm.
- Cumwhinton 1.30pm – 2pm.
- Scotby 2.15pm – 3pm.
The following day the pod will be in:
- Roadhead 9am – 10am.
- Irthington 10.30am – 11.30am.
- Crosby-on-Eden 11.45am – 12.45pm.
- Houghton 1.15pm – 2.15pm.
- Rockcliffe 2.30pm – 3.30pm.
PCSO Laura Woods said: “This is a great opportunity for local people in the rural areas of Carlisle to meet their local policing team.
“While we are there we will be providing expert crime prevention advice and to discuss any issues they may have. We look forward to seeing you there.”
Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall said: “This is a great initiative – and I would urge people who live in these communities to take advantage of having the local police come to you, especially those who might otherwise not get the chance to speak to their local police team.”
