Police name Penrith man who died in A66 collision

Police have formally identified a man who died in a road traffic collision on the A66 near Penrith.

Neil Harris, aged 49, from Penrith, died following a collision with a Mercedes HGV on Tuesday 30th October at approximately 3am.

The driver of the HGV is assisting officers with their investigation.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision or sightings of the deceased on the evening of 29th October.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information which could assist is urged to contact police 101 and request to speak to PC 2157 Hill.
