Appeal after stolen car set alight in Thursby

Police are investigating the theft of a Suzuki SX4 GLX that was stolen from the Low Burthwaite, Wreay area in the early hours of Sunday 11th November.

The vehicle was abandoned on the Thursby roundabout and set alight.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Two members of the public stopped police to alert them of a man in his 30s walking down A595 away from the location, heading in the direction of Cardewlees.”

Police are appealing for those members of the public, or others to come forward and contact the police quoting log 46 of 11th November 2018.
