By-elections called for Arnside and Milnthorpe

By-elections have been called for the Arnside and Milnthorpe ward on South Lakeland District Council (SLDC) and the Kent Estuary Electoral Division of Cumbria County Council, following the death of Councillor Ian Stewart in October.

The by-elections for both vacancies will be held on Thursday, 20 December.

Anyone registered to vote who lives in the Arnside and Milnthorpe ward will be eligible to vote in the by-elections.

The deadline for registering to vote in time for the by-elections is midnight on Tuesday, 4 December.

Further information about the by-elections, registering to vote, applying for a postal or proxy vote or standing as a candidate, can be found on SLDC’s website.
