Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall is inviting the public to go along to his public surgery in the Wave Centre in Maryport on Wednesday 21 November 10am – 12 Noon.
Meeting the public regularly to listen to their views on policing is a significant responsibility for the Commissioner and Peter McCall is keen to make sure that communities get the opportunity to meet him.
Peter McCall explains: “I am always keen to speak to as many people as possible across the county, as I have found it a really valuable experience in the past, and helps give me a real feel for what people are feeling and experiencing out in our communities.
“I am urging those that live or work in Maryport or its surrounding areas to come along to the Wave Centre if you have any specific issues you feel need to be addressed. For instance, do you have concerns about anti-social behaviour in your community? We need people to come forward and tell us about issues such as this, and importantly, we need people who have been victims or witnesses of crime and anti-social behaviour to report it – the police cannot do anything about it otherwise.
“So, please come along if you can – we all need to work together to make a difference and help keep our communities safe, and that includes the public.”
No appointment is necessary.
