Police appeal after Coniston burglary

Police are investigating a burglary where a number of items have been taken from a shepherds’ hut and a boat on Coniston Water.

The thefts occurred between the 4th – 18th of November in the Water Yeat area.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A number of boating items and a small tender boat have been stolen.

“Police are advising residents and all boat owners in the area to make sure their properties and boats are left secure and to check their equipment regularly.”

Anyone with any information should contact police, quoting log 145 of 17th November 2018.
