Police investigating a robbery are urging people in and around Cartmel to call them if they see any discarded whiskey bottles.
Three bottles of Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey were stolen from the Cartmel Drinkshop and Wine Snug in Unsworths Yard at about 2.45pm yesterday (NOV 20).
A man, 47, from the Manchester area, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
The whiskey was packaged in distinctive bottles, as seen in the picture attached.
Detective Sergeant Ben Falvey said: “We are appealing for witnesses and would ask that people in Cartmel and the surrounding areas report any sightings of discarded whiskey bottles or any suspicious activity.
“Have you seen a bottle like this thrown away? Whether it had whiskey still in it or not, we would like to hear from you.”
The arrested man remains in police custody.
