Pedestrian ‘stable’ after A595 collision

Police are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred around 5:30pm on Saturday 24th November on the A595 by Westlakes Science Park.

The collision involved a female pedestrian in her 20s and a Volkswagen car.

An air ambulance attended and the woman was taken to hospital in Preston with life-threatening injuries.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The woman remains in hospital, in a stable condition.

“Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision, or for anyone who may have been passing at the time in a vehicle with a dash cam, which may have recorded the incident.”

Anyone with any information or who witnessed this incident should contact PC 2090 HYNES at Cumbria Police on 101 quoting log 178 of 24th November leaving their details.
