Santa set to return to The Lanes

This weekend sees the start of The Lanes Shopping Centre’s Christmas grotto.

The grotto will open every weekend in December from 11am-3pm in The Lanes Centre Square area. For a minimum £3 donation, all children will receive an early Christmas gift from Santa.

Now in its second year, donations are raised to support Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal. With one in four children in Cumbria living in poverty, the grotto aims to ensure that all children in Cumbria receive a present from Santa this year.

Holly Woodhead, Marketing Manager said: “Cash for Kids Mission Christmas Appeal is vital for all the children in Cumbria that may not get a gift from Santa this year. It supports so many families and organisations in the area and we so happy to be able to support this appeal.”

Last year the grotto raised £3,623.12 for the charity and The Lanes hopes to raise even more this year.
