Man seriously injured in Carlisle attack

Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Carlisle.

A man suffered serious facial injuries following an assault at approximately 4:30am on the 2nd December at the Carlisle train station taxi rank on Court Square.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police would like to speak to anybody that was in the area at the time who might have any information to offer.

“Officers are especially interested in locating two women who came forward to assist the victim.”
