Pedestrian hurt in Penrith collision

Police can confirm that King Street, Penrith has re-opened following a road traffic collision that occurred earlier this afternoon.

Police were called at 3:50pm today (6th December) to a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian in the area of King Street, Penrith.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The collision involved a Mercedes Sprinter and a female pedestrian.

“The pedestrian was taken to Cumberland Infirmary with injuries that are not believed to be life-changing.”
