Police hunt Penrith pickpockets


Police are investigating a theft that occurred today (December 7th) at approximately 1pm in the area of Devonshire Street, Penrith.

The incident involved a woman who has had her purse stolen. It was suspected to have been taken by pickpockets that are believed to be working in the area of Penrith and Carlisle.

The first suspect is a woman, described as aged between 20 and 30 years old, 5ft 4ins, of medium build, wearing a red hat, dark coloured jacket and black trousers, pink shoes and a dark shoulder bag.

The second suspect is a woman described as 5ft 6ins, of slim build, wearing a grey bobble hat, dark brown jacket, beige knee length skirt, black tights, black knee high boots, large black shoulder bag.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed this incident to contact police quoting log 124 of 7th December 2018.
