At 6:50pm yesterday, Tuesday 11 December two fire engines from Penrith were mobilised to a vehicle fire on Kells Spring, Clickham, Blencow.
A tractor’s excess fuel button got stuck causing a building to fill with smoke, by the time firefighters arrived the tractor had already stopped.
Crews assisted the farmer in checking the tractor was safe.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one thermal imaging camera.
“Crews were in attendance for approximately thirty five minutes.”
