Man arrested after man seriously injured in Dalton-in-Furness pub attack

Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred on Saturday 24th November between 11pm and 11.45pm in the Newton Arms, Dalton-in-Furness.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 44-year-old man from Barrow-in-Furness sustained a serious injury to his eye area which has required ongoing treatment at hospital.

“A 30-year-old man from Dalton-in-Furness was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released under investigation.”
