Police are appealing for information following a serious two car collision near Moffat in Dumfries and Galloway on Saturday 15 December 2018.
Around 6.45 pm on Saturday evening, an Audi A5 travelling south towards Dumfries and an northbound Volkswagen Golf, collided on the A701.
The 55 year old male driver of the Audi A5 and his 57 year old female passenger, sustained serious injury.
The 25 year old male driver of the VW Golf and his female passenger, aged 20 years, were also injured.
All parties were taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where they all remain for treatment.
Medical staff describe the condition of the 57 year old woman as serious.
Sergeant Paul Dodds, Dumfries & Galloway Roads Policing, said: “The A701 is one of the main roads which connects the M74 to Dumfries. A number of people stopped to assist the injured parties, however, we are still keen to speak to anyone who may have not yet come forward to police, who may for example have dashcam footage, or who saw the cars just prior to the crash.
“Any information can be passed to officers at Dumfries Police Office via 101. Please quote reference number 4085 of the 15 December 2018 when calling.”
