A man has appeared in court today following a burglary at a residential property in the village of Mosser, West Cumbria.
Carl James Nicholson, 26, of St Nicholas Avenue, Flimby, appeared before magistrates in Carlisle.
It was alleged in court that a large amount of cash was taken from the property.
The three accusations are, that on December 8, Nicholson is alleged to have committed aggravated burglary of a dwelling and attempted to commit burglary, in the village of Mosser, and had with him a weapon namely; a hammer.
On the same date at the junction of Paddle School near Cockermouth he drove a black Saab while disqualified.
He also faces an allegation of burglary from November 22, he is accused that he entered a dwelling as a trespasser with intent to steal in the village of Mosser.
Nicholson did not enter a plea to the allegations, he was remanded in custody by magistrates.
His next appearance will be at Carlisle Crown Court on January 14, 2019.
