Firefighters tackle Carlisle building fire

At 4:13pm today, Sunday 30 December, two fire engines from Carlisle East and West attended reports of a building fire on Currock Park Avenue, Carlisle.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews forced entry into the property and used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.”
