Person trapped in farm machinery in Abbeytown

At 11:12am today, Sunday 30 December, three fire engines from Silloth, Wigton and Carlisle West attended reports of a person trapped in machinery at Abbey Cowper, Abbeytown.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “One casualty was extricated from farm machinery by fire service personnel using small tools and transferred to hospital by ambulance.

“Crews were in attendance for fifty minutes.”
