Police release CCTV in counterfeit note probe

Police want to speak to this man

Police have released CCTV as part of an investigation into counterfeit notes being passed across the county.

Police would like to speak with the man pictured as part of their investigations. The man attended Grasmere Garden Village on the morning of the 18th December.

A warning to businesses to be vigilant has been reissued following new reports of counterfeit £50 notes being passed.

Reports are of forged Scottish £20 and Irish £50 notes, however English denominations should also be checked with caution.

Anyone who can identify the man or has any information is asked to contact police quoting log number 78 of the 18th December 2018.
