The A689 Carlisle western bypass has reopened after a lorry overturned shedding its load of timber.
The incident happened at the roundabout leading to the Kingstown Industrial Estate at Brunthill Road at about 9.20am.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The driver, a man, 33, was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. He did not suffer serious injuries.
“Closures were put in place for some time.
“Officers would like to thank drivers for their patience during any disruption.”
